Skins/Body update

I've been working over the last couple days on the back skins. All of my panels are cut and the back door panel has been removed from the inner layer. I test fitted the inner skins on the frame and so far - so good. Front skins need some final cleanup and then sanding and mounting.

Plan for the two weeks: Order remaining resin pieces for dome (HP's, PSI housing), Obtain Rockler bearing.

More pics to be posted soon..

Can't wait to see the skins.
So, How fun was it doing the cuts?
I remember watching Brenda cut her skins and she was very careful not to overcut the lines.

have you been watching the "clone wars" on cartoon network? (every friday @ 9pm i think). The last couple episodes are about artoo and how he goes MIA.

I just placed an order with Uline this morning for the VHB tape. Should be here tomorrow. I'm hoping to get some more work done on the skins this weekend. Back skins are cut. I made a couple overcuts that should be fixable. I'm not going to permanently attach the skins just yet, incase I have to modify something on the frame - If I can find a good solution to not make them permanent, I'll try that. Calvin, I saw your idea for your skins, but I'm not sure yet how it will work on mine. I'm rolling around some other ideas to make them removable...

Asa, I haven't had a chance to watch clone wars yet. I'll have to look into that...

My hand still hurts!!!

Seriously, I get into working on them and just do a little at a time, usually after the kids go to bed. It's alot of cutting, but the material is pretty easy to work with. I was a fine arts major in college and I've worked with alot worse.
