I finished the construtction of the center leg. The leg is painted and ready for the foot to be attached the that part is complete. Still have to cut and sand some ankle locks and make two cylinders, but this is one step closer to my goal of having Artoo on his feet this spring.

I'm getting inspired watching your styrene droids - need to see some updates though *hint*. I'm actually considering a second droid, complete from scratch from Dave's plans. Something much more budget minded, R4 or R5 so I can build the dome from scratch too.
Still waiting on NY State to pay up the tax money before I go spending on more parts. The ball casters are up next and then I can get him rolling. I'm already starting to lay out my electronics panel.
I want him moving (dome and foot drives) and talking by fall. I know it's a ways away, but Halloween with the kids is gonna be a whole lotta fun this year!!
